Big Bow Energy: Patchwork Quilted Bows

Big Bow Energy: Patchwork Quilted Bows

Ready to make a bow that says, “Look at me!”? Join Sandy & Sophie for a fun, hands-on class where we’ll turn pretty fabric into a big, bold, quilted bow that is guaranteed to make a statement!

These oversized bows are all the rage in home décor and are perfect for your front door, mantel, or a big beautiful wreath. Choose fabrics for your favorite holiday or season, or create something fabulous that works all year long.

We’ll be using the Brooklyn Dawn Patchwork Quilted Bow pattern and learning some clever quilting tricks along the way. And once you know the technique, you’ll be ready to make bows for every season, every holiday, and every “I need another bow” moment.

Skills You’ll Learn

Students will learn how to:
-Use Ten Sisters 2½" Grid Panels for efficient and accurate patchwork, including maintaining consistent seam allowances and learning our favorite pressing tricks.
-Work with Soft and Stable to give your bow structure and plenty of body.
-Assemble the bow using trusty zip ties—yes, zip ties! Sometimes the best sewing tools aren’t actually sewing tools.
-Adapt the techniques to create smaller bows and bag charms.

A Little Homework Before Class

To make the most of our time together, please arrive with your 200 — 2½" fabric squares already cut and ready to go.
