Dave's Famous Singer Featherweight Maintenance Class

Join Dave Trebotich from Twice Nice Shoppe for a fun 4-hour hands-on class for your Singer Featherweight.  Learn how and where to oil and lubricate your machine, change and adjust your belt, set the bobbin tension, clear thread jams, and more problem-solving techniques.  Dave will discuss lighting, wiring, motor care and all the electrical components.  Learn simple techniques for freshening up the appearance of your machine and carry case.  Practice threading and bobbin winding, needle changes and swapping out feet/attachments.  Dave brings everything you need for the class; you’ll take home a folder that includes color photos of all the machine oil and lubrication points. Students must bring their featherweight sewing machine, foot control and power cord.  Oil, lubricate, feet and attachments are available for sale after the class.



Please note:  This Class must have a minimum of 10 students to proceed.

CLASS POLICY:

At The Cotton Patch, we strive to provide a welcoming, creative class environment. We want to make sure that every student has the best experience possible. Seats are reserved on a first-come basis once payment is received, and our classes require at least 4 students to run, unless otherwise noted. If we need to cancel due to low enrollment, we will notify you at least 7 days in advance and issue a full refund. If you cannot attend, you are always welcome to send a friend in your place. If you need to cancel, please do so at least 14 days in advance to receive store credit. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the class are non-refundable and are ineligible for store credit. 
 

Student Responsibility: 

• Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early so the class can begin on time. 

• Review the supply list and gather your materials before the day of your class. Students are expected to come to class prepared unless otherwise stated in the description. 

• You are welcome to bring snacks or lunch and use our classroom refrigerator and microwave.

• Remember to take all your belongings home with you. Items left will go in our lost and found. After seven days, any items left will be donated or thrown away. Any perishables left will be thrown away immediately.
