| Instructor: | Cheryl Hart |
| Instructor Bio: | Cheryl Hart grew up sewing and has dabbled in a multitude of needle arts and crafts all her life. Her love of fabric and color was nourished by her mother who was an expert seamstress and quilter herself. Cheryl’s quilting journey began over 30 years ago and was mostly inspired by antique quilts. The idea of making a quilt block that her great grandmother may have made was magical! She loves intricate piecing and does not shy away from making quilts that another quilter might find challenging. Those are the most fun ones she thinks! She has written patterns for The Cotton Patch under the name of “Red Door Quilts” in homage to Carolie and the red door at the entrance of the store. Her classes revolve around special quilting techniques or using one of her favorite Creative Grid rulers. After meeting Laura Heine in 2016 at Quilt Market Cheryl became interested in fabric collage. Since 2019 Cheryl has been a Certified Laura Heine Instructor and continues to be re-certified to keep up with the latest collage tools and techniques. She acquired the Advanced Certification in 2024 which involves using Inktense water color pencils. New students and those returning to grow in skill are always welcome in Cheryl’s classes. |
